Advanced Crop Advisors Workshop - February 12 & 13 - Fargo

Are you a certified crop advisor in need of continuing education units? An agronomist, Extension agent or agribusiness representative who is interested in passing along the most current research-based information as you provide farmers with crop production recommendations? Are you free on February 12 and/or 13, 2019? If your answer is 'yes', the Advanced Crop Advisors Workshop might be for you! General session topics include 2019 projected cash flows and weather outlook. The 1.5 hour concurrent sessions offer in-depth instruction from regional experts on diverse crop, nutrient, soil and water and integrated pest management topics. Those that attend both days of this workshop can earn up to 10.5 CEUs. Prior registration for this workshop is due by February 4 and costs either $140 for both days, or $75 for a single day. Refocus on Wheat

Small Grain Production Update    AND  Private Pesticide Applicator Training/Recertification Minnesota’s hard red spring wheat acreage rebounded to 1.6 million acres in 2018. This 40% jump is probably easiest explained by the record yields the previous year and the lackluster futures for corn and soybeans for much of the 2018 marketing year. The large carry forward of soybeans and continued uncertainty in the export market mean that a further increase of wheat acres is possible, if not likely. Research Update for Ag Professionals - Jan 17 - Crookston

A Research Update for Ag Professionals will be held from 12:30 to 4:40 PM on Thursday, January 17 at the University of Minnesota Northwest Research and Outreach Center’s Youngquist Auditorium (2900 University Ave., Crookston).
